Anyone else see a young Larry Robinson in Panthers defenseman Jay Bouwmeester? Think about it and get back to me. Please?
Nice touch, too, by the Habs raising Big Bird's No. 19 to the rafters of Montreal's Bell Centre.

I can't quite say that until I see Bouwmeester beat the snot out of Brashear or Laraque the way Robinson took it to Dave Schultz, right in the Hammer's prime of 1974.
Though I don't appreciate the fighters as much as others (having had to do that when I played town-team hockey, I'm not a big fan of fighting), you raise a somewhat valid point.
If you check Robinson's stats, though, he averaged a little over two minutes a game. Hardly a thug's stats, but he likely enjoyed a don't-screw-with-me reputation after pummeling Schultz.
Bouwmeester still has time, though. Besides, that's what Steve Montador and Ruslan Salei are there for.
