My multi-hockey-tasking buddy Drew should get a real kick out of this. No sooner had he left a comment about players using Sharpies -- rather than the obligatory paint pens -- to sign pucks, than that happens to us.
Like Drew's nemesis, Petr Nedved, it seems that Atlanta's Ilya Kovalchuk couldn't take the time to change pens and sign this Thrashers puck in silver paint rather than the black Sharpie he used.
Though I didn't get this particular autograph, I still hold myself responsible. I should have passed that it's always better to pass on an inferior autograph and wait for another opportunity.
Thankfully, you can see the signature. Hopefully, it'll be a rarity, too.
